NATIONAL ALLIED ARTS COMPETITIONS

In the National Allied Arts – Vocal and Instrumental Competitions, our senior school marimba group was awarded an honours. They therefore qualified for the Marimba Challenge scheduled for Friday, 10 March in Harare. We are proud of them and certainly, “Like armoured knights Goldridge will shine”. Congratulations to all the learners and teachers for such a great achievement.

The following groups/ students also did very well at the competitions.

  • The Senior School Choir attained a first class for the song: Plea for Africa

  • The Junior School Choir attained a first class for the song: Glorious

• The Junior School Choir attained a first class for the song: Zadzisai by Janet Manyowa

• The Junior School Marimba group attained a first class

• Ruvarashe Matariro attained a first class for the song: Neverland

  • Anopaishe Muchohonyi and Nokutenda Muyocha attained a first class for the song: Our Song

  • The Sapphires Reincarnated (Tinotenda Makunde, Matipa Kakowa, Melissa Muradzikwa, Clarybell Chingwaru, Nobuhle Hwata, Vimbai Sithole, Keith Chahweta, Tadiwanashe Chinamatira and Rufaro Makopa) attained a first class for the song: Kare Kuye

  • Matipa Mugabe attained a first class plus for the song: Opportunity

  • Vynly Chinabe attained a first class plus for the song: Scars to your beautiful

  • Senior Choir attained a first class plus for the song: Mukwasha -Hondo Medley

  • Senior Band attained a first class for the song: To the Top
