Head's Speech at the Annual Prize Giving & Speech Night

I am delighted to stand before you, and present you the annual report for the 18th Prize Giving and Speech Night. I wish to thank the Almighty God, as we celebrate, the many gifts He has bestowed upon us, many of which, we shall acknowledge and reward tonight. We also thank the Lord for having been our shepherd throughout the year which always reminds us of Psalm 23 verse one which reads “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

Job Shadowing - JAZ

On the 18th of September 2018, the Goldridge College Junior Achievement members and a select few commercial students attended a Job Shadowing program at sable Chemicals. There were also two other schools who attended the Job Shadowing Program namely Camelot and Munyati High School. This allowed the students to interact as the 110 students present were split into two groups. Before being taken on a tour around the Sable Chemicals Plant, the students went through a briefing regarding the processes taken in the manufacture of Ammonium Nitrate.

Prize Giving and Speech Night

Our Prize Giving and Speech Night was held on Wednesday, 18 October 2017. What a wonderful turnout of parents and invited guests we had. Our guest of honour was Doctor Mugaviri who inspired all those who were present as he touched on Purpose and Career Planning. His advice to all parents was greatly appreciated. We sincerely thank him for coming for the event. Our 2018 leaders were also announced to the whole school.

Interhouse Swimming Gala

We held our Interhouse Swimming Gala on Wednesday, 11 October 2017. Musasa House (yellow) emerged victors. We sincerely thank all parents who came to support the children. However, we were disappointed by the very low attendance by parents as compared to that of the previous year. If we want Goldridge College to be one of the best schools in Zimbabwe, we need to attend all events and give full support to the children.
